Hearts 4 Africa is committed to the goal of reducing the mother and infant mortality and morbidity rates in Uganda, Africa by providing a clean, safe, loving environment for birth, improving the prenatal and postpartum care given by Midwives and Doctors, and by providing much needed medical supplies and equipment.

A Love for Mothers and Babies

Hearts 4 Africa was founded in 2005 by Sherill Sedillo (Certified Professional Midwife, Licensed Midwife), in response to witnessing first-hand the critical lack of medical services and support for women and infants struggling to survive birth in sub-Saharan Africa. A dream was born to build a birth center where Ugandan women would be able to have both their physical and spiritual needs met.

Today Naluko Women’s Hospital serves the Iganga district in Uganda, which has an estimated population of 700,000 people.  We serve women and newborns at the Naluko Women’s Hospital and the general public at our Outpatient Clinic.  We also give prenatal care at the Outpatient Clinic. Naluko Women’s Hospital is a facility where mothers are treated with dignity, respect and most of all the love of Jesus.
