Hearts 4 Africa is committed to the goal of reducing the mother and infant mortality and morbidity rates in Uganda, Africa by providing a clean, safe, loving environment for birth, improving the prenatal and postpartum care given by Midwives and Doctors, and by providing much needed medical supplies and equipment.
A Love for Mothers and Babies
Hearts 4 Africa was founded in 2005 by Sherill Sedillo (Certified Professional Midwife, Licensed Midwife), in response to witnessing first-hand the critical lack of medical services and support for women and infants struggling to survive birth in sub-Saharan Africa. A dream was born to build a birth center where Ugandan women would be able to have both their physical and spiritual needs met.
Today, 7 acres of land in Iganga, Uganda have been donated for the construction of that dream, the Naluko Women’s Hospital and Outpatient Clinic. A facility where mothers will be treated with dignity, respect and most of all the love of Jesus.
